Any Life Can Be Better If.....

Have you ever considered the utter relief godliness is? Godliness is not a word much used anymore. Neither is virtue. And maybe that is why so many things in our life are not as good as we wish they were.

C.S. Lewis said, "We laugh at patriotism and wonder why we have traitors in our midst." Think about that. TV programs, movies, stars and the classroom mock godliness. Instead of virtue, we talk of freedom and our rights and tolerance, and America slides further towards Sodom and Gomorrah. Could it be that doing what is right in God's eyes would fix a lot of things that are broken and be a huge relief? Could it be that virtue is its own reward and actually pays?

This week our series on Old Testament biographies continues with Daniel. Living in Babylon -- the ancient Las Vegas -- he determined not to defile himself. Babylonians did everything possible to tempt him to become a Babylonian, but he would not compromise. And surprise! He was a huge success because of his godliness.

Any marriage, any parent, any career, any life could be better if we would dare to be like Daniel!

This week Pastor Mike will show us the huge relief doing what is right could be. The hope he offers is that 'there is a way to be good again' , no matter how far we have slipped, and that would fix a lot of things!

Be encouraged this Sunday with one of the greatest biographies in the Bible -- Daniel's!

Don't come alone! Care about someone else and bring them so they can get a new vision of life!
